Ubuntu 64-битная ошибка «Не удалось получить файл [..] binary-i386 / Packages» при обновлении репозиториев apt

У меня следующая проблема на Ubuntu 12.04 LTS на 64-битной машине: всякий раз, когда я пытаюсь обновить репозитории aptitude, обновление странным образом завершается с ошибкой , связанной с i386 . Я предполагаю, что это не должно происходить в 64-битной системе.

Я попытался восстановить status-old без удачи:

sudo cp /var/lib/dpkg/status-old /var/lib/dpkg/status

Я также попытался:

Но это не так Похоже, сделать или сообщить что-нибудь полезное. Каждый последующий apt-get update заканчивается ошибкой.
